Point Break will have a large selection of food including classic fair foods, local Virginia Beach eats and specialty culinary delights including many gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options.

Weather / Emergencies

Point Break Music Festival is a rain or shine event, however, there are several instances in which the festival may be paused, evacuated, or canceled due to inclement weather, including (but not limited to): severe thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, hail, flooding, or as directed by local emergency personnel. Festival management is constantly monitoring weather conditions and consulting with the National Weather Service, as well as a private weather service, to ensure the safest event possible.

If an evacuation due to inclement weather becomes necessary fans will either be advised to temporarily seek shelter or that the festival is cancelled for the remainder of the day. This notification will be made by audio and video announcements from the stages and social media. We recommend fans follow our socials to stay up to date with festival communication.

Harassment

WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR HARASSMENT.  PLEASE LET OUR STAFF KNOW IF YOU FEEL HARASSED OR THREATENED IN ANY WAY.

We want every fan to feel safe at Point Break. We will not tolerate any harassment based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, body size, appearance, age, or national origin. If you feel like you’re being harassed or otherwise feel unsafe, please report it to the nearest staff member.

Helpful Hints to Prepare In Advance

If you’re heading to a summer festival, avoid heavy clothing or dress in layers so that items can be removed as necessary. Lightweight clothing that provides sun protection is ideal.

Be prepared for rain. Come with a plastic poncho that you can pull out if needed, as well as a small plastic bag for your cell phone, ID, etc.

Wear comfortable footwear. You will be on your feet for most of the day, so it’s best to choose function over fashion. Also, keep potential rain in mind when choosing your footwear.

Don’t forget accessories! Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are all festival must-haves. Want to spend all day front and center of the stage? That’s awesome. We recommend that you consider using hearing protection.

Come well-rested. It helps to get a good night’s sleep before hitting a festival, and don’t forget to eat a big meal beforehand so you can keep your energy level up all day.

Once You Arrive

Scope out the area. Check out the locations of water stations, restrooms, first aid tent and concessions so you know where these places are.

Stay hydrated throughout the event.

Consume alcohol responsibly. Pace yourself.
